Advent Market at Evangelisches Johannesstift

On December 3rd, 2023, the traditional Advent Market will take place on the grounds of the Evangelisches Johannesstift in Spandau.

The festival begins with the Advent service in the Stiftskirche. During the service, the Wichern Advent wreath is lit. Later, musical groups play wind instruments on the grounds and choirs sing Christmas carols. In the evening there is a musical vespers in the church. Children can hand in their wish lists to St. Nicholas and make crafts. An exhibition shows various Christian traditions of the Christmas season.

On Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 the Advent service for the 1st Advent starts at 11:00 am in the collegiate church. Afterwards, the booths around the church, on the Lindenplatz and in the festival hall will open. A musical vesper in the Collegiate Church, illuminated with over 100 candles, sets the mood for the pre-Christmas season. The Advent market ends at 19:00.
